Choose your starting five and prepare your deck

Preparing the player board

Upgrading the tribe

Choose seven hooper out of ten to bring into the game.

Upgrade one of them by using your player ugrade kit. He/She becomes stellar in his/her first position and gets a second position. 

Select your starting five and your benchwarmers, then put your hooper cards on your player board in the spaces under the corresponding position tokens.

Set the energy tokens of every hooper of yours and complete the setup by placing the coach action tokens and your playbook !

Upgrading your deck

The action upgrade cards

Take the action upgrade cards of your tribe and sleeve them onto the action cards that best fit your strategy for this game.

You'll tranform, for example, a Lay-up into a backdoor cut: a Lay-Up that can't be defended if played after a pass from a teammate!

Repeat the previous steps with all the action cards that you chose and start running wild your combos!

The position upgrades

Define your best attacking solutions by looking at your hoopers stats. 

Take four out of ten position upgrades from your player upgrade kit. 

Sleeve them onto the action cards that you desire boosting with an additional position for your best attackers! 

Prove your ability in the strategic planning of the match!

Find out the least useful action cards in your deck.

Give them a new dimension by adding a third action to counter the opponent's foundamentals.

Steal the dribbles, intercept the passes and control the area with your offensive rebounds! 

Stir the Unleashed fury up by activating a second action on the card that you already played to counter the opponent!

At the beginning of your attacking turn

You may spend a coach action token

You'll need to be able to handle the energy of your hoopers during the game. 

You will use your coach action tokens at beginning of your turn to call a timeout or make substitutions, thus managing your player board!

All your coach action tokens will be available from the beginning of the match but they will never be recovered!

Find the perfect timing for your call, it could be your last one!

Then

You may play a foundamental action as F1

A well-constructed action is certainly more effective than a simple attack: 

use the foundamental actions to assign bonus to your hooper's attack stats, thus increasing your chances of success!

Break your opponent's ankle with sudden dribbles and hand changes, launch your teammates to the basket with nice passes or place marble screens to free up space and boost your shooting percentages!

If F1 is successful

You may activate a playbook

Gather up the rewards for all the sweat spilled out during the training: 

after a successful foundamental action F1 and with the following correct cards in your hand, you can activate a personal or common playbook

Your following F2 and A action will then become unstoppable and you will shoot with the highest percentage! 

Overwhelm the Fate by overpassing 100 and score without rolling the die!

Recover your energies and prepare yourself to defend!

Otherwise

You may play a foundamental action as F2

Keep going with your attacking turn and show all your basketball skills! 

By playing a second foundamental card you will improve even more your chances to score but you will have to face the ball dynamic rules. 

Never understimate the possible interferences of your opponent and, if you decide to use a screen, don't be too impetuous to avoid an offensive foul that will make you lose the ball!

 

To score a basket

You must play an attack action and resolve the turn

Attack the rim by using one of the offensive solution. 

Choose a 2-points shot (2PS), a 3-points shot (3PS) or a Lay-Up by looking at the most useful tendencies of your hoopers.

Sum all the bonuses that you gained from your foundamental actions and subtract the defensive stat of the opponent's defending hooper. Roll the d20 die to score! 

Before proceeding, if your opponent has played a defense action, then he/she will roll the foul die. If you get fouled, your attack will be much more difficult but you'll go to the free-throw line!

If your attack is unsuccessful

You may play an offensive rebound

If a defensive foul has not been committed but your attack has failed, you can recover the ball by using an offensive rebound.

Play a new action card by using the rebounding hooper to gain immediately a +15 bonus or decide to draw two cards and play again the attacking turn. 

Dominate the paint and exploit every possible solution to win!

Classic Play & Fast Play

How long are you going to play? Choose a fast game that lasts two periods, a classic game over four periods or a blitz game with only one period!

Play at the home-court and then away, craft your deck game by game and feel the evolution of your tribe by playing the best out of seven games!

Friendly Play

Choose the side of the milestone markers: give the loser of the single period an hooper upgrade to play a more friendly game and challenge the rookies!

Draft

Draft your hooper line-up and draft the upgrades to create your unmatched tribe and unearth the most powerful hoopers' synergy. Lead the squad!

Shooting percentage & d20 die

Score the basket by comparing the result of the d20 dice to the attacking stat corresponding to the action played by your hooper: get an outcome equal or lower than that value to score points. The twenty-sided die is a custom one and it is made by the multiples of five (5,10,15...100) to perfectly reflect the percentage values: the lower is its outcome, the higher is the probability of success.

Defense & Fouls

Read your hand of cards carefully: every defense is equal to the sacrifice of a valuable option for the next attack. A defense action is linked to your hooper's defensive stat and will assign a malus to the attacker die roll. Be aware of the referee: roll the d8 die and hope to do not donate free-throws to your opponent!

Counter actions

Use the V-Stat and the O-Stat of your hoopers to attempt to intercept a pass or steal a dribble. Recover the ball and unleash your fastbreak. Get yourself a second chance through an offensive rebound and replay your turn after a bad attack. Tap the ball in or start again, but don't be too rough or everything will be nullified by a foul!

Tribe's power, hoopers' skills and action deck

The game structure is composed by three main aspects: the asimmetry of the match is built on the different tribes' powers that modify the normal turn sequence. In addition every hooper compete on the court with its unique skill. On the other hand the action decks are initially identical but they take their own strategic direction by sleeving the upgrade cards before starting the game.
